Attic & Garage Treatment: Rodent Activity

Nightly scratching above the bedroom traced to rats in the insulation — trapped, removed, sealed, and verified.

Case 03 · Overview

Quiet nights, sealed tight

Droppings in the garage and gnawed insulation told the story: rats entering through a chewed vent screen and traveling the wall voids into the attic. We mapped five entry points, removed the population with enclosed traps, and sealed the building envelope.

The challenge

An established rat run between garage and attic, with contaminated insulation and a chewed vent screen as the front door.

Our approach

Enclosed trapping along active runs, steel-mesh exclusion on all five entries, and sanitation guidance for stored goods.

The outcome

Zero captures after week three, fresh insulation installed, and monitoring stations quiet ever since.
